3rd & 4th Grade Teams
This age is where almost everyone is new to rugby. Emphasizing safety, fitness, essential skills, personal responsibility and camaraderie, theseplayers begin to understand what it means to be part of Seattle Rugby Club.
“Fit or Smart” is our mantra: Practices are just a few times a week and we make every second count. Players are either moving or learning, and this is the age where we begin to emphasize rugby’s ethos of respect of ourselves, the game and our opponent.
This team holds itself accountable to its own expectations. They train. They play hard. They play together. They tour British Columbia. They become rugby players.
This is the fastest-growing area of our club, and we want to make rugby accessible to as many families as possible. In 2014 we introduced the Viking “Boats” program (Hey, we’re Vikings, right?). The “Boats” are separate groups of young Vikings that practice at different locations, closer to their homes during the week, but battle together on the weekend.
Practices are held in Mukilteo and Seattle’s Magnuson Park. Pick the place and schedule that works best for you.
Tell a friend to come try rugby.
